What is a domain?
A domain is a name that uniquely identifies the Internet at a company, association or private (eg zeep.it).
The first letters in a domain name represents the communication protocol (usually www for web sites), the last letters, also called extension, indicate the country or type of organization.

The name of a domain is technically a name associated with an IP address.
When prompted for a user to connect to a site by typing the name servers called Domain Name Server (DNS) translates the domain corresponding IP address.
